work in progress 03
Work in Progress, week 3.
1. Patchwork bib for Baby J. [I'm loving black + white these days.]
2. Girly aprons. [What's better than gingham? Seersucker gingham!]
I was able to cross off a few things on my "to do" list this week, including these baby gifts. I seem to be stuck on a circle + leaf motif .

I got mail today!! Thank you so much for a lovely package! Both the magazines was great and I l.o.v.e the kit! Have you recieved yours yet?

I'm loving the baby items, just divine! and how I would love to have your fabric stash. Your fabric choices are spot on everytime.

I'm on a black and white kick right now, too! I like the construction sign fabric -- so cute.
I love the onesies. Do you do anything in particular to the inside to keep the knot or whatever from being scratchy? You must be a very neat sewer. I'm kind of a messy sewer on the insides of things, so I'm afraid my baby would not be happy if I tried to sew something onto her clothes!

These are all good. Every combination. Inspiring to see.

Great Pictures. And great looking projects too! I'm a bib-maker from way back -- but have never done applique. Guess I need to start!
These are too cute.

If you are willing to share, just curious on your source for the white onsies and terrycloth white bibs. Everything is adorable.

Perfect and beautiful. I am a fan. How do you make your circles so perfect? You are very talented. Hope you open an etsy shop some day! You'd be very successful.

Seersucker gingham. Now I'm in heaven. And I loved the blue floral t-shirt and bib. I am being very presumptious here because although I am all for boys wearing floral, I LOVE the fact that you have (I think) done blue for girls. As the mother of two girls, it is so hard to find anything other than pink and to have something in those beautiful little blue florals would be just gorgeous. Very sweet.

yay! there's that lovely brown and white gingham...that pink is so lovely, too! can't wait to see it in use....
and the black and white fabrics. love them, too--the one on the bottom of the stack is especially fun. you've got great taste, sally!!

I totally need a photo tutorial from you.
I am digging all of it--your appliques make me want to rush home and sew. That black/white flagman fabric is just fabulous!
Dharma's has great cotton clothing blanks in baby sizes for embroidery/applique/dyeing. My fave is this one, b/c the Crabcake doesn't like elastic waists:

So cheap and so soft!
