lemon + mustard

Lemon_shoes

My search for new yellow flats is officially over! Oh, did you even know I was looking for them? Well, last year I made the mistake of leaving my favorite yellow flats in the house while we were on vacation and our furry friend decided to use it as a chew toy. He must have a thing for yellow shoes because he also chewed up one of my yellow flip flops. Anyways, not only did I find a pair of lemony yellow patent leather flats for super cheap, a few weeks later I found a pair of mustard flats. Yes, very similar styles, but you know just in case Mr. Golden Retreiver gets a hold of one pair.

So I'm all set for spring shoe-wise, now I just need to add a few fresh pieces to my wardrobe. I'm pretty certain that I'll be relying on my good ol' Built By Wendy pattern to whip up a few new dresses/tunics [I know, I need to expand my garment-making repertoire!]. I'm also dreaming about a few dresses/tops from Uniform-Studio and Wiksten's spring collections! Oh, and this lovely yellow Church & State dress [minus the belt, I don't do belts] is right up my alley, although I'm pretty sure I don't look good in yellow. And while I'm making my wish list, I also love this eyelet dress + shift dress [in black].

Thanks for all the lovely comments and funny jokes. You all have given me some good laughs the past few days. I need to upload some photographs today so I can share with you the things I've been working on. In the meantime, check out Yu I's beautiful new prints [I was SO tempted to order the letterpress print, but I already have the same print in canvas] + Hannah's cute new shop [I get to see her this weekend, yay!].

I was wondering why you bought more yellow flats, although one can never have enough yellow flats can they?
and the yellow dress! I had seen it on their site and was thankful I didn't know where to actually buy it.
um, so thanks alot for the link:)

I am so with you with the yellow shoes! I was thrilled when I found a pair (ultra cheap) early last spring! Loving gray clothes,as I know you do too, they go so well with gray.

i couldn't resist yu-i's cherry blossom print to go with the sky above you print i got last time.

oh! your cute shoes!

say hi to hannah.... :) have fun

Cute shoes! I'm so sorry your golden boy ate your other flats. They were so lovely. I drooled over them. I love yellow, especially in spring, reminds me of all the daffodils we see everywhere now. :)

Absolutely lovely shoes - and thanks for the links to such fabulous handmade clothes!

I actually bought that pattern two days ago and I'm so scared to start the project. I've never sewn clothes before! I unfolded the pattern and my heart started to palpitate...maybe I'll start it next week :)

Cute shoes!
I just discovered your blog-it's very nice!

Share! Share! Oh, do share! Wherever did you find such cool shoes?

I discovered your blog today and I was smitten! Everything looks delicious and our boys are truly a joy! I myself am a new blogger (just *3* posts yet) but it just happens my first one was written same day as yours and about yellow flats!

Thank you for your messages sometime back - sadly I only just found them in my junk mail folder... Would love to send some dinosaur pasta your way - I am sure cutoms allow the international movement of pasta (given its made in Italy and I am in Australia, they must).

Opps - that should read 'customs.'
