The past few weeks have been filled with planning parties [j's 5th birthday party, J's 1st grade end of the school year party + J's last day of school party], overseeing the landscaping of our backyard [which has sparked an obsession over pretty outdoor spaces], spending time with my best friend + her family [my boys + her girls played so well together], working on custom orders, making gifts for teachers and wrapping up the school year for the boys. It feels like the busiest time of the year for me but at the same time it has been a wonderful time to reflect on all the special people in my life and the lives of my boys. It has reminded me how important a sense of community is and how if we all pitch in a little bit we can accomplish great things. To be honest I haven't had much time to think about summer, other than plan our family vacation, but I do know I want to slow down, spend time with family + friends and enjoy the summer.
