I love headbands. I've been wearing them since I was a little girl. So when I came across Heather's blog last week, I was very excited to see a tutorial entitled "Hooray for Headbands!". The headbands are really cute and easy to make [Thanks, Heather!]. It's a great way to use up those scraps in your fabric stash. Since Baby J's hair is getting long, I made him a little "boy band". His big brother wanted to try one on too.
The past few nights I've sat down to write posts, but I either couldn't organize my thoughts or I became very drowsy. I may have to incorporate early morning blogging in to my routine. Anyways, last weekend I finally sat down to make a summer bag, something to tote around to the park or beach. I used one of my favorite thrifted sheets and lined it with orange gingham [so summery!]. It's hard to tell from the photograph, but the bag has a hobo shape to it.
On a completely random note, I'm still trying to figure out what size I like my photographs to be on this blog. [Hence, the random sizes.] So far I'm enjoying my new home. I really like the "category" feature as well as the ability to respond directly to your comments [without having to look up your email addresses, etc.]. I'm a little behind on emails, but hopefully I will catch up in the next few days. Now I must really start preparing for Baby J's birthday party. One can plan a party in two days, right?
