Last weekend wasn't all about wiping noses and sipping tea and nibbling on biscuits. I did manage to squeeze in some simple + fun crafting [the best kind, no?]. After seeing Steph's button wreath [which was inspired by Pixiegenne's wreath], I knew I needed to make one. I love this project because [a] it is quick, [b] doesn't involve a lot of thinking, [c] endless design possibilities, [d] great way to showcase beautiful vintage buttons and [e] gives you an excuse to go buy more buttons. [I used cork that I had lying around in my studio. You can buy cork in rolls or sheets at your local office supply or craft store.]
And I must say Portland is home to some fine online fabric shops. You already know my love for Superbuzzy. [Love.love.] But did you know about Sew Mama Sew? Kristin sent me some fabric last week that she thought would be right up my alley. Oh, yes it is! Thank you Kristin!
<> Still hoping + praying for James Kim to be reunited with his family soon. <>
