Thanks for all the linen + leaves love. [Rachel, the MacGyver comment had me laughing all day!] I was inspired by the pink paper cherry blossoms from MS Weddings, Summer 2004. But I thought the subtle colors + texture of natural linen would be a nice alternative to making paper blossoms. Although I adore cherry blossoms, so I'm sure our house will be filled with real + paper ones soon enough. I've been fiddling around with some more linen buds + leaves as well as using some fun cotton prints. And I'm always keeping my eye out for nice branches when we take walks around our neighborhood or play at the park.
I'm having a hard time believing it is already the first of February. January was a month filled with comings + goings. We had family visiting for half the month and Appah just returned from a three-week business trip to Asia. You can imagine how happy we all are to have him home. And we all scored some nice little treats from his travels [Thank you, Appah!].
I also wanted to thank you all for sharing your thoughts regarding being self-critical of our work. It is encouraging to know my struggles are not unique and that we are all, in our own way, trying to improve our craft, little by little, day by day.
