We're back from our trip to Chicago. The weather started off with light flurries [which Big J enjoyed so much that we found him eating snow off our rental car] and ended with sunny skies [mid 60's the day we flew out]. I found myself saying "next time" a lot during our trip because quite frankly there was just not enough time to do and see everything on our "to do" list.

We saw family + friends, the boys played with their cousins, ate a lot of delicious home-cooked meals [as well as Lou Malnati's pizza, gyros, wings + loads of ice cream] and had the same conversations over and over again--"Oh, he's actually a boy." + "Yes, my husband doesn't mind that he wears a barrette in his hair. It was his idea." + "No, we are not planning on cutting Baby J's hair anytime soon." + "Yes, Baby J is still nursing." + "No, I'm not crazy." [Ok, I made up that last one.]

All in all we had a lovely week and hopefully next time we will be able to soak in more of the city life. I was looking forward to photographing the wonderful sites in and around Chicago, but I returned with a memory stick full of good ol' family photographs. [More here.]
